whq packs out every weekend with residents playing hip hop, RnB and pop. no venue would be prepared for trance on a friday.
Well...it was only you actually Apart from Joe and Mark maitland who told me in advance that they had no one else slyly did

Of course the scenes dead up here, and thats coming from myself, whos ran i'd say the most consistent of all small trance nights in Newcastle. We've been pulling a good crowd for the last 3 years, but we started to suffer aswell, we've got things in the pipeline to try and give it another go, but tbh i dont even know if theres any point. The scene up heres both flat and pointless and even when promise did run they never give fresh talent a chance, just the same old wank and in my view that has been a small part of why the scene is the way it is today. Safe bets with jules, halliwell, it was always going to get boring. Im getting more gigs than i ever have done down country, as the scenes still as exciting as it was back in the day, but up here theres nothing really. but i think thats how it'll stay, cant see it changing, i really cant.
listen to john askews show, always plugging trance events down there, both talent nights & established nights - yes, prehab, the gallery, passion, fixation, live & loud, gods.... the list is endless, the trance scene is vibrant down there - where are your gigs at down there m-x? one of my resolutions is to travel down more often this yr
Exactly right mate, had things in the pipeline with garlands & Goodgreef, preston for quite a while. and about 5-6 gigs at smaller nights around about, aswell as the galaxy thing that im waiting on a date for. The rest of the nights you've mentioned are all other nights ive been networking with, sending cds to etc, so fingers crossed. wish there was a few more closer to home, but its nice to play to a different crowd i suppose.
sounds good mate ive been doing a bit of that neworking carry-on, not because im any good or owt but could be handy in the future - only thing worth mentioning at the moment for myself is some bits n bobs in the pipeline with the detox chaps and im doing a guest set for genix on trr radio when it launchs ill no doubt have something on futuregrooves too as im an admin there.
you can be as skilful as you want but no contacts = no gigs dont tell me you got that "mos" gig with no contacts?
thing is i dont think shes a bike at all she's cool (when shes not trying to push her weight around ), so if i did click that its probs cos i was being a twat at the time
