I don't see what the problem is here! Almost every job I have had I've had to change shifts. basically you work for them and you probably agreed in the interview that you were flexible. You have also more than likely signed a contract stating they can make you work these hours.

Jess, I have to work Friday night and sometimes a Saturday and it is REAL work. I've also worked in 2 call centres both of which I have had to work weekends and crap hours.

If it's that bad just leave.

Find yaself a sugar daddy to keep you going over Christmas.

Im sick of working Sat/Sun when i dont have to by law or contract or anything BUT if i want to be out of the situation i am with ££ then it has to be done.

Throw in my other job as well as the full time one the amount of hours i work each week gets daft over 7 days.

    :(

I work most weekends now to try and pay off some debt before I go in the RAF. I hate working weekends when I've already did a 50hr week.:(

    It's fucking shit really innit.

Im too non-career motivated to actually look for a job what pays the same as two at the moment cos of the convenience of where i live for both (DSS/Asda)

If i got my finger out n looked then i might not need two never mind braying overtime every Sat/Sun and i could actually get a decent weekends kip or stay at afters...

lol I've got no 'get up and go' either. It's too easy to stay in a shit job because of convenience.

Sounds like you've had a large serving of life, accompanied by a side of hard cheese!

Look at it as a means to an end. You can't expect a Christmas job to be a bed of roses. When i was at Dixons i had to do Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve AND New Years Day, while other staff only did one out of the 4. The temps are the ones who get the bumming to keep the full timers happy. Thats just the way it is and at the end of the day it's just tough luck and basically you just need to deal with it! (don't mean that in a sarcy or nasty way, i've been there myself!)

I used to work a full time day job and two pub jobs, with only Tuesday nights and Saturdays off (on Sundays I worked 12-5 in one pub, then 7-11 in another).

I still managed to go clubbing three nights a week.

    Young people today, no stamina.

WORKING IN CALL CENTRES IS SHIT

I'd rather lick envelopes for a living than take another call off some noncey bloke wanting to buy a mobile phone
