Fucking hell, I do a 38 hour week, 39 and a half max and haven't worked a weekend yet.

They try their best to pressure me but they can go and fuck themselves if they think they are going to govern my life out of a standard working week.

Working life is harsh and the majority of people with any authority at a company are going to be total pricks. It doesn't make someones situation any less shit.

    What, Marks and Spencers?

Aren't you a qualified engineer, one of the ones that gave us our wanky cranes that brake down all the time? ;)

Actually did you report that broken controller, because a week later we got a new one replaced.

working at nissan is not what i would call a "good job" :p

    the pay is ok`ish

but the more the government push up the min wage, and the less the nissan blokes get a decent payrise, where will it end

its been a few years but i`m sure i was on around £8/hour at nissan for a normal day shift, you can get that for fucken stacking shelves these days in aldi i think

and you can defo get that for sitting in a call centre

Bollocks I treat my industrial crane like a fluffly kitten.

Today I was thinking about the internet and the board which I always do anyime I'm not on it and realised that Marks and Spencers is not John Lewis and I actually meant Bainbridges.

Do you actually work for a department store?

    Lmao.. a fluffy kitten

I work as part of a four man BNA Team (Branch Network Administrator)

I basically make sure that everything technological that isn't direct wiring, ie 110v 240v or 415v, is up safe and working.
Runs reports and check all online systems such as POS, Meridian phone systems and Symposium/Veratas backup servers.

Technically yes I do work for a department store.. but I play a vital role in ensuring that the store is function at all times.

Its pretty confusing work at times.. but I'm gettin the hang of it..

Only thing I don't like is the fact I'm dropping £30 - £50 a week doin this job.. but the prospects are better :)

Don't stand for that Jess, tell them you can't and won't!

Temps always get the short straw but expecting you to work ALL of the major Christmas days is a joke.

or there's find something you like doing, become totally obsessive about it, work for yourself, work yourself like a mule, don't worry about money as long as you have enough to live on.
    that's what I learnt
