I am sure Melt felt the same way about some of the Detox helpers, he is has got his core in the like MOS, Fiddla & J. If you ever need someone to hold a clipboard outside let me know, as I was the KING of running queues at THE BOAT every Saturday night for approx 3 years.

    Yeah, you still with Goodgreef?

Personally I thought Junior G was a good name when it first took off as it associated it with GG which would have appealed to the clubbers in the region. If it's progressed so much why couldn't you just follow Preston's lead and call it Good Greef NE, like they call theirs Good Greef NW?

    Because it's a different concept.

Goodgreef NW (Preston) is the home of Proper Goodgreef nights in the North West because there isn't any suitable venues in Manchester to host nights there since they stopped doing nights at Park Hall & Ascension.

Goodgreef Tall Tree's is the home of Goodgreef in the North East (well is /was) and they ran Goodgreef Wakefield in the same way to have nights in Yorkshire until that stopped.

Junior G was an affliation a sister night to Goodgreef just like they had Native in Manchester and at a time in Middlesbrough and once upon a time they also had a night called "North", at the same club in Manc to blood the upcomers and see who would be worth getting on at the main events.

Cheers! But with the last GG NE being at TT in February would it not be possible to rename it GG NE? Just can't quite grasp 'Recycled'?!?!?!

Yeh Im still with Goodgreef. We've done well since it kicked off & have definately progressed. In regards to coming up here with the whole Goodgreef name, im totally with you. It would be a hell of a lot easier as folk instantly know what to expect with the name, but god knows why they didn't?

In regards to the Goodgreef NW gigs, im not sure if youv'e ever been before but there in a different league to JNR:G, the Venue & Line-up's are on a much bigger scale to what JNR could ever try & reach with the Club Venues & fan base up here.

Who says they don't have another venue lined up in the north east?

Plus like Groudy's said the actualy Goodgreef nights are bigger lineups and venues to what the Main Nights are like.

Plus i doubt that Proudy etc would want to have to have a month with Hardstyle djs on to confirm with the music policy of the main goodgreef events.

I am not in my mid 30's though:p & us single lads cant be on myfreepaysite 24/7 man. This is not the Promise Forum either.

Recycled:to treat or process (used or waste materials) so as to make suitable for reuse

I wasn't having a pop or winding you up, so you can lower your defensive mechanism. If you want to walk down Northumberland St asking 100 people what they think the word Recycled means, drop me a PM & I will come with you. I reckon a lot will associate it with reusable garbage.

Like I said in my original post, the name isn't going to tickle everyone, but unfortunately it's changed. Junior:G did have a lot of meaning: being a Junior to the Goodgreef night etc... but was hard to push & was a tad cheesy. If you dont like the name then lets hope the line-up's change your opinions.
We could all sit there & pull the names of nights to bits & look deeper into things than what they actualy mean, but suppose it's the night itself what counts:)
