There are hardly any differences between marriage and civil partnership. The only one I am aware of is something to do with parental rights.

i suppose your right, but will the church ever change? isn't it wrong in the eyes of the church?

i know you can get married legally by government but both have to change to make it happen.

Is it actually on the cards i don't really know much about it, or is it something that will never happen?

It's not really a church issue so much any more. Look how many people get married in registry offices etc. And it depends which church - C of E is much more accepting than the Catholic church for example. There is even an openly gay Anglican Bishop in the US.

Anyway, this isn't a thread about gay rights, right now I'm just thinking about how happy I am!
