like joe said if its an oldish car take the rubber seal out from along the window, use something like a coat hanger to slide down and on some u either push down on the lever bit, or have to hook it and pull it up.

speaking of pikeys my mate got all his car tyres slashed outside my mates house the other night off some little arsehole, for no reason whats so ever

one me and my dad were supposed to be goin to liecester for the day for him to finish off some work down there.
i was only bout 11 or 12 at the time.
he hired a van, he had been somewhere with it and hed left the keys in the ignition.
he had the keys for our car in his hand and stupidly locked the door with our car keys!
we struggled for hours tryin to break into the car, what we found if the window is down slightly, get a coathanger, bend the end
all depending on what car model it is try and get the door handle.

we got into it after bout 3 hours.

if i were u i would have kept a spare key somewhere, just incase something like this would have happened.;)

Have you got loss of keys cover on your insurance?? It'll be worth ringing them to find out. I dont think it gets classed as an actual cliam if u go through them. Best ask to make sure though :D
