    That's hardly a festival!

I'd never take a kid to the kind of festival alot of you are thinking of, like global gathering or something. But I'd take one to Glastonbury, V or T in the park etc.

Nah too many drugs flying around and to many dodgepots at festivals, I'm sure plenty off us have found stray pills, bags of powder on the ground at festivals

if there's a group of you with kids and you have it arranged so one person's on sober babysitting duty all the time, or you're prepared to be pretty much sober the whole time to look after your kid and there's more of a family camping bit then it's all good IMO.

I know lots of kids who've grown up on the festival circuit who've turned out to be really clued up kids.

way too much nanny state bollocks these days IMO - the kids who'll die young and unhappy are the fat kids who's parents never let them out the house and fed them on junk food all day everyday.

It depends where and what sort of festival it is.

I know its not a festival but at the Love Parade you get all sorts going off, with young familys raving away and getting amongst it and theres nothing at all wrong about it. Everyone is just loving it and that the way it should be.

I remember years ago after one ofthe summer arcanes a load of us had piled out to the beach for a laugh. All was cool as fuck til the families started decending around lunchtime, jsut as we were all on fullon comedown mode... we knew it was time to leave when the kids started using our bodies as hurdles and having races across us:eek:

    Watch Woodstock, full of kids.

In Zimbabwe I went to local beer gardens/shabeens all the time with my parents, which are like mini festivals. Music all day, etc. There we're kids at the beach party I went to in Goa, plus in Paradiso, the outdoor nightclub. They we're of hippy/backpacker stock though, thus probably used to the atmosphere. I had one young lad of six play Uno with me (his Mum's idea), and ask if I was straight headed. Was very intelliegent for his age.
