I never rinsed Lee? I dont even know the bloke. What I found funny was that someone would still use a club name next to their DJ name after it's been closed for nearly 3 years:lol:

but promise still ran new years day 2007, so if thats the only thing of note someone played at I dont see the harm

    promise was a good night

it certainly took more risks than some other nights we could mention

i remember a time when no one even cared (or was able to even focus on ) where the dj booth was

but hey those times are long gone

now everyone expects tune and name cards with gary cox

or carl proud on held up by scantily clad women

    :angel2:

Im sorry like, playing once for a night doesnt warrant your name next to it, a resident yes, a guest playing once - shameless plug/claim.

Yes Promise ran on NYD 07, Lee never even played! so hence me laughing as the last time he played was probably 3 years ago?

This is gunna get taken somewhere else i can see it. I was laughing at putting his name next to Promise after not playing for so long. Promise was a great night I never dissed it in the slightest.

I used to put Dave Melt (his bedroom) and I was putting that down in 2001 at the first detox.

all this where youve played / who youve played for is a load of tosh . I am going to start not even announing the lineups for detox , the punters just come and trust that it will be mint

the internet detectives are so good anyway, 1st person to guess the lineup gets free entry - now dont you be nicking that idea gary

Good luck, I'll stick to the old method of announcing the line-up in hope that folk are gaurenteed to enjoy what there making the trip for.

As for the internet detectives these days, it's not that hard:

    Google Search - Detox - DJ's = Line Up;)

    it is

i'd say being a resident for Promise is a pretty good accomplisment (sp?) as it was a successful night known throughout the country and at it's height was well respected - possibly a highlight of anyones career if u ask me - it makes sense to me

is that what we're talking about??

i've Dj'd with Melt - i'm sure that would cause harm

it wouldhave done if youd been in the booth when I was showboating and fell over statics extra long headphones cable

funny like I only had punters saying "we didnt know you were that good"

good job I was under a pseudonym or there would have been a row of board vigilantes throwing rotten food at me

Yeh Promise back in the day was a well respected night, a very good name (if you could) to put asociate your DJ name with. I was just laughin at how long ago he played for them thats all, hanging on?

...The poor bloke couldnt have been regarded that highly, he never even got a call for NYD:spangled:

psshhh Lee was the Yugi-Oh champion of the North East, Trance editor/reviewer for M8 magazine, resident at promise, best kick boxer/dancer in the north east, ex-sas, tight jean wearing psycho(he was wearing skinnies long before emo boygirls).

He wasn't just a one-show psycho... he had a bigger rep/ego than you back in the day ;)
