i think ManOf has hit the nail on the head with this thread really.

i had a mcdonalds for the first time in months today and it was vile, awful greasy shit COVERED in salt.

Burger King is alot nicer but obviously equally as bad for you.

McDonalds through its sub-comapnies and other establishments had funding links with Noraid, which indirectly funded IRA and other paramilitary terrorist organisations...

but then so have many American companies and organisations over the years, most openly, the NYPD..

so its not such a ridiculous statement, although the accusation was 'a penny in every pound', not a penny for every item sold...

I don't know how I'd make it back from newcastle to sheffield with a hangover if it wasnt for the Mcds on the A1.

I don't eat it much at all these days but I still love it.

Large fries, 2 double cheese only ketchup and a smarties mcflurry.

Heaven in a brown paper bag. :D

I wouldn't have grouped the two through choice, I like starbucks and fail to see the problem.. their bob dylan esque cliche atmosphere is a bit suspect but on the whole I'm a lover..

I'd say subway is different from mcdonalds simply because most of mcdonalds stock goes through a deep fat fryer... you can get a far healthier meal from subway than you can from mcdonalds.. with the exception of the microwaved meat in subway its all fairly harmless? I'd be interested to hear nutritional contents for subway.. most of it's salad and bread?

I bet all the sauses they have are pretty bad for you. Wasn't there uproar not long ago when it appeared there were more calories in a M+S salad than a Big Mac or something? Could be the same for Subway I suppose
