The night was OK, the venue could have been better. Van Dyk not at his best and Jules was same as usual.
Eddie and Marco played almost the same sets as at promise.
Enjoyed Fergie the best like, best av seen him play for a while!

The stairs were a nightmare, and i cant believe they actually body searched all 9,000 people or what ever were there!!

Above and Beyond - i really enjoyed their set but some of my mates thought they were crap.

Adam Sheridan - absolutly wicked, aybe the best all night.

Jules - i thought was a bi cheesyat times, but i enjoyed his set and it lifted the atmosphere a bit.

PVD - boring as fuck. Tried to get into it but just couldnt.

Marco V - amazing, first time ive seen him too!

Fergie - crap. Was the only time i actually left the main arena and dint rush back

Eddie - only caught the first 15mins.

I tried all night to find the bit where Lisa Lashes, Paul Kershaw etc were playing, but didn't find it until the end! I was proper gutted!! Had a wicked night though overall.

I had a chit body search.. he said oh i'm gonna have to search you cos u have baggy pants on.. padded around my calves/shins then said ok go. he never checked my pockets or anything. And to think i left my sub machine gun at home :p

What was witheveryone telling me there were 20,000 people there? I was pretty sure this was a load of crap since global gathering was 30,000.

And how oculdnt u find the poly arena within the first 7 or 8 hours? :p there was a massive queue into it for the majority of the nite. Saying that, I never managed to find the beach or even a trace of sand when i was at global gathering

Id say less than 7000 tbh as the telewest / metroradio holds 7500 but the MEN was way smaller !!

just had a look at some pics on gurn, the whole set-up looks cheap as fuck, dont think they put any effort into that at all

its about time people realise that godskitchen and crasher have lost the plot when it comes to arena events, the only decent one was the NEC and thats now gone.

did'nt enjoy it at all, the whole thing was poorly organised. spent most the night in the polysexual end, wot was the crack with the toilets like? there was no bar and no toilets in the poly end , so if you wanted a piss you had trail across the other side of the arena trying to push your way through everybody, and when you eventually got back, you had to que for ages to get back in that end.:wtf: :fuming:

realy wanted to see eddie coz i missed promise on fri , where by all acounts he was great. dont know wot happened on sat though
    POOR

There was no atmosphere at all, n plenty of idiots
but i did enjoy PVD set, and really wanted to see yoji in the polysexual end ,but he did'nt even turn up:confused:

all in all did'nt enjoy it much, i say bring it back to newcastle arena next time. cant wait for global gathering, anyone else going for the 2 days? CAMPING WE-HEY!!!:D

I'll be going for the 2 days providing I have enough money left for Florida the month after. The whole night was a really bad setup. I think it's due to the height of the arena and the amount of walking around/queueing u had to do that spoilt the atmosphere.. and it was too light. I was in the middle of the main arena for halliwell and everyone I spoke to was sound, but the atmosphere still wasnt there cos it seemed there was too much open space above us, and so much light that you could see it all. It would have been good if they could ahev somehow made a second floor around the centre of the arena like tall trees but I doubt that would ever happen :p

The 'dance dance drink walk... walk.. climb... walk.. piss.. walk.. decend.. walk.. walk.. queue' adventures really got annoying!

    illegal in what way?

I didnt know where any other toilets were cos i never explored much.. but then u first enter the arena (from outside) you are already up on the top level and thats where the toilets were etc.. to get into the main arena u had to go through some doors and that brought u about 80 steps up from the actually 'dancefloor'. They had one way systems set up but people were always forgetting and the queues up/down were often at a halt due to the stewards telling everyone who was going the wrong way that they had to shift. After about 2 hours the steps got really slippery too so the whole night was chaos as far as the journeys to the toilets went..

I wouldnt say the M.E.N is suited to an event like this at all.. I'm amazed that the people in charge of organising it all agree'd that this up/down system for a load of drunken/gurning monkeys was a good, safe idea.

It would have been more practical to stick 10 people in a rubber dingy and push them down the stairs each time
