Totall agree with that and i think the fact he is still alive is good news too, hopefully he will eventually answer alot of questions that at the minute people are still struggling to find answers for, weapons of mass destruction etc.

Couldn't agree with you more tory boy, but you're missing the point. While he was fighting Ayatollah Khomeini we couldn't give a fuck what a brutal dictator he was or how many of his own people he killed and gassed with chemicals supplied by the west, and in fact we continued to support him.

What gets on my tits is the way the US, and the UK, only get all moralistic when it suits our purposes, like when he invades Kuwait and threatens western interests, and they try to pass this off as a moral crusade. We all know he was a bad man and the world's a better place without him, but we've never had a problem dealing with brutal dictators before, as long as it suits us.

Now if Bush/Blair had said we're gonna invade Iraq and remove Saddam becaase he's basically a cunt they would have got my vote every time, but they couldn't because that's illegal.

But they're a pair of hypocrites because while they're standing up holier than thou removing a bad man from power (*round of applause*) we're doing fuck all about Mugabe, did fuck all when China invaded and still occupies Tibet, same when Indonesia invaded and occupies East Timor, yanked our Ambassador back from Uzbekistan and told him to shut the fuck up when he tried to raise a stink about similair things happening there that Saddam used to do.... bet that wasn't in the Labour Party newsletter was it?

    No doubt.

Don’t you feel that your government should give a reason for starting a war though?

Fair enough, Sadam is better out of the way but I don't think that many people believe that this war was to get rid of him.

So why did we start the war?

Was it because he is an evil dictator who kills his own people?

It can't be, we leave many other oppressive states alone and even openly trade with them.

Was it to protect ourselves from terrorist attack?

Again, I don't see how. The US admits that he has no more links to terrorists than they have (lets not get into who trained and armed Bin Laden).

Was it to protect ourselves from WMD attack?

I'd love to know how a country with no intercontinental missile capability could manage to attack the UK/US maybe someone needs to buy the Whitehouse a globe for xmas because it's not hard to work out that Iraq had no way of attacking us even if they wanted to (which they never said they did by the way).

Was it because Iraq was sourcing WMD?

Again it can't be, we leave many other states alone that are developing WMD so that can't be the reason.

What are we left with then, why did we go to war, why have so many people died?

Anyone got an answer to this that's not black and viscous?

Yeah, well it would be if the US gave to shits about any international laws.

I see they've re-catagorized Sadam as a war criminal now it suites them, oh what a suprise.

He wasn't a war criminal when they wanted to degrade him on TV a few days ago (which is illegal).

    Make your mind up George.

but they've proved before with their treatment of other prisoners that this 'war on terrorism' isn't a war.

Glad to see Mark and Jambon talking some common sense and not jumping on the Anti-American bandwagon.

Who knows for sure what ills America have been up to/caused in the past, but Sadam was an evil bastard and lets face it, Iraq could never have improved with him in charge.

Agree with every single point, I couldnt justify us going to war, the only time i supported the war was when our troops were there, i felt that then we should of supported our troops in action.

I agree with outing Mugabe! i even strated a thread about it a long time ago.

Si how about you remove your tounge from Joe's arse and come up with a decent insult other than TORY BOY!! which is stupid considering im a member of the labour party.

Why is the best you can come out with that I'm jumping on a bandwagon?

I'm not anti united states, I'm anti abusive states.

Just so happens that the US fits into that catagory at the moment.
