Far less than have been killed during the years since Iraq was invaded. They've gone from bad to worse in terms of human loss.
Public spending was high.... Every country in the world spends extravagent amounts of money on such things, why don't we sell Buckingham Palace and all the other Royal estates and give the money to the homeless?
Erm yes, you have interpreted that as being the Richest country with the higest GDP which I did not say!! I'm talking about money spent on healthcare, education, roads, airports etc etc
It would have went on for the worst, if Saddam had stepped down, Uday would have taken over, and he was 100 times worse than saddam
public spending? building yourself a gold house isn't public spending, its buying yourself stuff from the countries money. You don't see blair buying himself an island so he can build himself a house do you
How can you compare football hooligans and lads who stare at you in the pub to people who bomb tubes and fly aeroplanes into skyscrapers "in the name of allah"??
i know but if you think about it the people doing all the killing is those people that would have been under sadmans rein
I wasn't giving that as an example of public spending!! I'm saying that as well as building palaces a lot of money was being spent on the public
What is the difference between saying that and saying "well there wouldn't be any killings if Saddams men stopped shooting the Kurds"?? So what you are saying from that is that there were killings under Saddam, and there are killings after....what exactly is your point?
LOL. You muppet - your basically saying "muslims are all terrorists" - and you wonder why these people are angry?!?!?! The people rioting and causing all this violence are not terrorists - they are just people looking to take out alot of frustration on the west at the slightest provocation. Yeah they are doing it "in the name of islam" but that means diddly squat. If i was a muslim growing up in the world today, i would be pretty disollusioned and cheesed off with the world today. Its just angry, unstable people looking for an excuse to incite violence. This is NOT terrorism.
leon that just isn't true, Saddam lead an evil regime but he didn't come close the hardships Iraqi's had inflicted on them from the west, sanctions lead to 1.2 million deaths, the latest war lead to the deaths of 30,000... The vast majority of the Iraqi population had a much higher standard of living before the wars. And how does a countrys gdp reflect employment? It reflects how wealthy they are not how many people work (btw they have a gdp of 89,800,000,000 - which places them just below new zealand).
