you mean festivals and DJ's you have never heard of.

if I was satisfied with the usual droll things that get discussed on this board about things people do in their everyday lives then I think I'd end up topping myself.

maybe after you come back from Japan you might appreciate that a bit more!

oh i'm very open minded....I just don't go along with the bandwagon of having to go to lesser known events or rabbit on about lesser known DJ's, just so that I can appear cool!

I DJ'd for 5 years..... it's not as if after all that time I only appreciate Judge Jules and Creamfields

Whats wrong with going to lesser known events or liking music that might not have been heard by many?

Nothing at all, I fall into that catagory also...I just don't preach that that's the only way to enjoy the scene, or look down on those who enjoy the Judge Jules/Creamfields end of things!

I think you're mistaken and quite blinkered in thinking that.. for example I'm going to Benicassim in July which being a small indie festival would be rife for such a comment no?

However, I'm not spending £500 on going because I 'want to look cool'.. I'm going because it's not going to rain, there's going to be thousands of bikini clad women, the music will be off the wall, it's not going to be full of fad loving screaming teeny boppers / ruth types when some kooks-esque 'indie' boy band come on (i.e. this years Glastonbury) and it's a damn site more interesting than going to Reading..

I think we should get a sweep going on how many times Tom mentions he's going to benicassim this summer before he actually goes. I think it's already in the double figures.
