We may be working in washington later this year, whats the quickest way from Cramlington to Crowther Road? Its the bit directly behind Washington Services on the A1.

I can't STAND queues, and this sounds fucking Queuetastic.

Options I can see:
1) a19 across the tyne (expensive)
2) A1 round western bypass, over tyne, Metro Centre (queues) and that bank at the Angel of the North (massive fucking queues)

If I moved closer to Newcastle later this year, where would be best to get to that location? whats it like getting to Washington from the city centre or Heaton?

Doesnt mean its slower... the flow of traffic is much quicker than other routes, there's only 2 sets of traffic lights you get stuck at and the queues at those are no where near the size of the Tyne bridge/tunnels or ones on Bensham bank!

we got all white vanned up this year so the tunnel is a peach now
