Theres nothing exaggerated about it mate, thats exactly what happened in terms of all us turning up to the club and Proudy being cancelled at 1am.

He had only been gone for about 5 mins when Luke came on, i even checked with Si Garrington that Luke was playing the rest of the night because at that point had yous wanted him to play he would have been able to get back and close the night. Si told me that Luke was playing the rest of the night, hence my original post as it appeared Proudy had merely been fucked off to give Luke an extended set.

The lesson learned IMO has to be improved communication with the DJ's playing, as had it been explained to Gary in a professional manner and earlier in the night (or ideally the week) that he wasnt needed and rearranged the date then this whole situation would have been avoided.

i remember saying that it might end in shambles with the new venue, obviously i was right - you take foundation away from anything and its just a load of crazy 20somthings off their tits.

i heard there was no lights and atmosphere, and if i wasnt at work and there i would be definately there to see proudy play. i would have been the what - 3 percent (?) that didnt enjoy it.

i could imagine that a better venue with better conditions would have made a 2 hour hardwick set fantastic, alas no - cheap german cough syrup and redbull seems to be the highlight of the night - rather than the good, up to the minute, underground skimming music that promise was known for.

bad show lads you've brought it down.

Its not going to end in a shambles far from it
We are booked up for the next 5 months

The atmosphere was great matt loved it and so did the crowd

We had over 500 people in and a few complaints on here do not make it a bad night
    far from it

In fact the above comments were from someone who did not even go to the night .

Have you got the surveys ready so you can calculate your statistics on who enjoyed the night? Maybe draw up a few graphs or something?

why do people not involved immediately jump on their case?

Graham has a fair point but why do other people steam in to have a go???

After running nights for 20 years you dont need a poll to know whether the majority enjoyed themselves

2 gigs now both with over 500 in which is more than i expected so we must be doing something right
it might be good dj,s , cheap entry great drink prices wheres the problem ?

what you are doing right is cheap entry - a fiver

cheap drinks - the jager bomb ones

and djs that have an appeal with the promise faithful

that policy should have been followed in the final days of foundation when everyone done off to digital

also the djs like sheridan , hardwick are promise faves that for a fiver will pull punters

however, in 6 months - 1 years time you will surely need to be offering something other than cheap entry and cheap drinks to maintain peoples musical interest
