The place your on about is very, very commercial, the punters are not into that scene at all & the way the venue is promoted is soley Glaxay FM based etc...

Honest mate if your serious, approach the carling academy but you'd have to have a confirmed line-up & some sort of pitch when you spoke to them, it's not impossible tho, Tiesto's already played a carling Academy further south I think so it's not as if the companys totally against nights like this.

I suppose thats true about this venue, but its closed on the nights we want to do which means theres no punters already in - on that night - which means I'm pretty much starting with a clean slate.

The thing is I dont think I could do a night at the Carling Academy because I just couldnt put my heart it to. Sunderland would still be left with a virtually non existant club scene. Its like I would just be starting a night for the sake of it, with no purpose. Its not about personal gain for me.

unfortunatley, you cant force makems to like trance and create a trance scene if no one wants it, makems are happy with their cascada and blu bambu, face it.

Im not sure where your coming from here to be honest mate? you say your not bothered about loosing money, want to stage a massive night with big hitters yet your heart wouldnt be in it @ the Carling Academy:spangled:
The venues most of the forum have given you are the only places such events could ever be held or properly 'go off'. Im getting the impression from your PM & when I read back through the posts, your main intention is hosting a massive trance night, in a city where the likes of Promise & a few other smaller nights have had to pull the plug due to dying numbers & wanting to host it in mainly commercial/charva bars?

If you are specifically hell bent on bringing trance to Sunderland, you need to steer away from the clubs your suggesting, the whole night itself would be a disaster, full of the wrong clientel & definately not the intended atmosphere of the gig your wishing to statge.

talltrees is a massive hotel,spa and conference centre which holds many various nights and at one point was largest club in europe if i remember correctly.

its a whole different kettle of fish
