Governments created the war in the first place. Its a fight that will never ever end. Cottage industry drug production that keeps people calm and enjoying themselves aint ever gonna be legalised. The agenda in place here, goes well beyond sense and logic. Its just a shame that individual drug users are still being hounded like they just mugged a granny.
People making drugs at home wont be legalised because it is uncontrolled - legalisation brings regulation and a tax potential for the government. Everyones a winner
Regardless of that - there is a reason why drugs like that arent legal. Governments dont want a nation of people who are enlightened enough to question the system, or numbed to it all. Unfortunately, alot of the drugs that are classified as illegal, do that very thing. Fags and booze are legal for a reason. They have a temporary effect, kill you over a long drawn out period of time, and do the exact opposite of keeping people calm, loving, and questioning their masters .... Obviously it makes SENSE to have all drugs legal (or most of them), but since when did common sense come into the equation? - they sacked one of their most senior drug advisors for DARING to tell it how it was, and then reclassified weed to class B. If stuff like mdma and psychadelics were legal - the entire system would crumble and the UK would end up feeling more like spain and italy where people couldnt really give a shit about buzzing about like flies doing their jobs. That would be wonderful for us, but a disaster for the government.
it's never been about common sense. or harm reduction. it all stems, ultimately, if you look at the history of prohibition, from the American rightwing moral sense that drugs are wrong. All drugs. They tried and failed with alcohol, succeeded with nicotine and they will never give up on the others. Until other countries stop being in thrall to the US the 'war' on drugs will continue. 28,000 people were killed in Mexico last year in gang warfare. How many died from taking the drugs? it's totaly insane

You really think that would be wonderful for us? im not sure legalising mdma would mean more people would want to do it. Some people just arn't intrested in doing drugs. Although if legalisation did have a massive effect on the number of people doing drugs i dont think 90% of the population smashing pills in all the time would be a good thing, i wouldnt be too pleased if i was on a bus on a monday morning and the driver had done ten pills the night before, or i was working in industry and someone operating heavy machinery which could potentially affect my safety had been on the ket the night before..
By 'us' i mean the people who want to do these kind of things without criminal repercussions, or buying rubbish fake gear. Think of how many times you've heard someone prattle on about how they 'hate' drugs, while they smoke a fag and drink a pint - the very same idiots who do exactly what everyone else is doing or saying. I'd like to bet a large portion of the population would be inclined to give these things a try as soon as the lovely government says its safe to do so.
You live in a strange world... There are plenty people on antidepressants who are numb to the world. The government don't seem to mind that
And why would a bus driver or someone operating heavy machinery suddenly be inclined to get off their face the night before doing so? People can still think for themselves and make judgements based on their own circumstances, which is why bus drivers and people operating heavy machinery generally don't neck a 70cl of vodka before jumping into bed every night. I'd actually say that the bus driver who had taken a pill or two the night before would probably be in better shape come morning than one who went to bed steaming drunk. (comparitively, you either drink until you're drunk to have an 'awesome time' on the drink, or you take a couple of pills to have an awesome time.. there's always the extremes where people will take way too much of anything whenever they can, just because they can in which case they probably find themselves with little, if any responsibility for others in their day-to-day lives so we needn't worry about them too much )
how about the bus driver in a utter shit state from necking shite piperazines. Banning something does not stop people doing it. If it were legal there would be a massive honeymoon period but then people would use their own judgement. Some would abuse it most would not. On a harm reduction basis it would be better than criminalising half the population which is what we do now.
