Sorry you have mis understood me I wasnt having a go.

But for people concerned it's a hell of a lot more than "just" a cosmetic issue, that's all I meant.

for the third time, lol, i didn't say he did but my point is, to repeat myself again, that its more than "just" a cosmetic issue to the people concerned. Thats all. Not having a go at him at all ffs

I love the way all you lot sign the petition without knowing the first thing about the condition, then go one better by having a go at anyone who enquired about the condition!

Isn't it down to your doctor whether your baby gets the treatment dance-aholic?

Joe there is "enquiring" and then theres trying to make jokes about it.

I think the general consensus is...who cares about knowing the ins and outs of the condition, if signing the petition could help other babies, then just sign it. Hardly as if it takes very long is it!

the condition in younger babies can be altered by chnaging the childs sleeping habbits, when its as old as dance-aholics treatment is needed (but the condition is purely cosmetic)... but this treatment can be obtained through a doctor.

I'll sign the petition as I feel it hypocritical to offer free dental care but not offer a free treatment for this.

However your all idiots for signing something you have no knowledge on.

there is one link in the first post which tells us nothing but:

"plagiocephaly should be diagnosed at birth"

Yet most cases happen after birth as its a result of the child lying in one position... so those extremely rare birth cases would be pcked up anyway.... its a badly worded petition and i doubt it will be taken seriously.

A doctor may prescribe a helmet if he feels it is needed however they are unproven so many doctors wont.

There was no link, you signed a petition you knew fuck all about and then put up a gay little picture.... you're an idiot :)

because you should know what you're signing!

there were 639721 births in England and Wales in 2004 1 in 60 babies contract plagiocephaly the treatment costs £1700... you've just given away £18,125,428 to a treatment that might not work.

A treatment needs to be proven to work before it is distributed by the NHS.

    Know what your signing.

Joe's right, the majority of cases sort themselves out as the skull shape changes in the natural course of growth.

The odd case is extreme enough to require correction though.
