i kno im a bit late on the posting front here, but i think this is utter bollox!!

all these references to having a job interview and comparin them 2 sendin a mixed cd is completely shit!

first off wen ur doin a cd, ur getin judged on the fukin music, not if ur a grade A graphic designer, whereas if ur at a job interview, u hav 2 impress in THAT field, i.e lookin smart or wateva, its completely different!

this is a competetion, therefore the judges are obliged 2 listen 2 all the cds, regardless of the fukin cover, then u decide on the MUSIC, not the graphics

jesus this is fukin babyish, im debatin whether or not its even worth sendin in my cd now, seein as i dont have a cd cover printer

we've already established that it doesnt need to look pretty for this competition but to think it wont matter if sending it to gatecrasher and it has some scribble on the front that they wont put it in th ebin is just being naive.

stop comparing it to sendin a cd to gatecrasher, because this is some random sending a cd that has to stand out, this is a competition, therefore you dont need to impress with your cover, you need to impress with your music

if i was sending a cd down to gatecrasher, its fukin obvious the better the presentation the more chance id have of getin it listened to, but the fact is Promise are holding a competition, they hav invited ppl to send cds to them, therefore no1 shud need 2 stand out at the start, every1 shud be givin the same chance because its down to the music, its a music competition!!!!

i think wat Lee's sed is utter bollox because this promise comp and sendin a cd to crasher are completely different

at crasher they probs hav hundreds/thousands of demos to listen to, so obviously they are gona pick the better covered ones, but with this comp, they have to listen to them ALL, so who cares about the picture on the front!? all u need is a name and contact details, SIMPLE AS

personally i was gona jus write my name, email addy nd mob number on the cd, didnt think for a second my cd wud get frowned upon coz i hadnt spent more time designin it than makin the actual cd

jus think wat he sed was bollox, but fair enuff, if hes not arsed about the cover then leave it at that

ive had my cd dun for ages aint gona say anythin more on this coz obviously like fizz (i think) sed b4, it was jus a mix up on the conversation

im sure ud all agree tho if we were getin judged on our COVERS in a MUSIC comp, that wud be unfair, but like el maracca sed, we're not, so its all gud lol
