did I ever give you tarnation? its one of those films that leave you completely stunned after watching it... the soundtrack is even better than the garden state one.. it got nominated for cannes, sundance, toronto and venice and won a heap of awards including best documentary at LA..

I think the first quote in the trailer sums it up.. http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/tarnation.html

I see what you mean - was trying to read it on the way home last night while pounding my ears with trance.... wasnt going to happen.

He doesnt seem to write absolutely incredibly difficultly, but its the few 'big' words and sentence structure in how he says things that seems to take twice the amount of time and concentration to get through.

    Not bad so far :)

lovely bones is a great book and just read 'a short history of tractors in ukranian' which is a joy, funny perceptive and a look at a different experience of immigrant life in the uk. don't be put off by the title..there are no tractors in it....:)

if i read on a bus i throw up. instantly. almost.

must be motion sickness. ho hum.

same if i travel backwards, like in those biddie/disabled seats. instant sickness.

biddie seats plus a copy of the 'metro' and there's a whole world of hurt for the rest of the passengers
