Think the problem with viewing it as many of you do is your merely seeking revenge.... Where as punishing a sane man with a jail sentence may rehabilitate him, no form of punishment in going to cure a paedohpile - paedophelia is classed as a mental illness and should be treated like a mental illness.

Punishing a paedophile wont change the way he feels (however each case is individual so this aint nesacerely so), so some alternative has to be saught and imo this sollution is high security mental hospitals.

the law has changed now so that even if a boy was the same age as an under 16 gilrie and they have any sexual contact (kissing etc) then they are defined as paedophiles....

or how about a 19year old who pulls a girl in a nightclub - and she must look 18 to have got into the club - then finds out shes 14/15 an ends it, but its still too late, he's a paedophile already as the deed has been done?

only been to redcar a few times but it seems like one of them places where people seem to act first (fighting/beating) and get the facts later...

yes, any crime committed against children (under 13s) should be punishable by death,

i think they should be used for medical testing, then they can help the development of the species, and still get hurt/killed if something goes wrong

Redcar has been in decline for years tho so something like this doesn't completely surprise me. As for the paedophile, I can't feel sorryfor him whatsoever but I don't think taking his life is the answer. There are some cases where you can't believe how someone could do something to a child where I would find it hard to argue against any very harsh punishments. For a society to work and grow people can't just take the law into their own hands.

What about an adult who commits a crime against an adult? Eg, raping a 90 year old woman or stabbing an 16 year old lad to death in an unprovoked attack in the street? Are some lives more important than others?
