Course its wrong, you could have an operation, then live a fully normal life, but for the sake of rediculos beliefs the child dies?!

There should be laws against that shit IMO, its immoral and totally rediculous.

This sort of rubbish really really pisses me off i cant possibly ever understand the logic behind it.

    Atheism for me.

with a title like religion, what do you think its going to be about?

Stick to talking about exhaust pipes.

I enjoy enlightening debate, you enjoy the mundane drivel that degrades our nation.

Who are you to preach about such deep a subject matter?

Its ok for the pm to send 100 soldiers to their death for imperialist greed, but it is wrong for a religous family to lose their son?

    hypocritical society.

If you had the capacity to read what i wrote, you'd understand that this had fuck all to do with what faith you practise and everything to do with whether anyone borrows their moral fibre from religious teachings!

What fucks me off about religious types (not directed at you Joe) especially Christians is the way they think they have a monopoly on morals and standards and use this as an argument to justify religion as a generally good thing.

Bollocks, I'm the least religious person around but have plenty of morals, though I do borrow from Buddhism, which technically isn't a religion anyway

Don't need religion to know that buggering your dad is wrong ;)

I agree with you, pro-life movements are an example of a religious movement I abhor. I hold religions like Sikhism and Judaism with a higher regard than Chritiainity and Islam, as they dont try and force their beliefs on those outside the religious community.

You seem to be overlooking the fact that those soldiers signed up AT THEIR OWN FREE WILL Joe. Yes, it's not nice, but they didn't have to join the army.

Yes its wrong, because who in their right mind would choose to let their son die because of their rediuculos beliefs?! Its absolutley ludicrous IMO

Who are you state that their beliefs are wrong? if their belefs are indeed correct and there is an afterlife - who are you to deny them a right to their afterlife?

It's my opinion at the end of the day Joe. I think that its rediculous. The kid wouldnt even be able to make his/her own descision because of either a) what the parents say goes and b) will have been brainwashed anyway

    Afterlife?

    Oh dear.

And who wants an afterlife before the have even had a life Joe?!
