I didnt say I wasnt concerned about the US.

Letting a kid die because their "religion dictates" that they must, concerns me more than the recruitment methods in use by the US Army

OK whether you as an individual or not wanted us to go to war with Iraq - a large majority of the population saw it as justified, thousands have been killed and no one bats an eyelid.

A religious community who's very existence revolves around blood - don't believe in transfusions... You do not have any right to tell them they are wrong or to call them evil... As their choice effects them and no one else, their choice is a choice they have to live with till they die, their choice is a choice that will ruin their life.

    But it is their choice.

England has no right to preach when our choices result in the killings of thousands.

This isn't evil , losing a family member is the hardest thing any person can experience... to suggest its evil is wrong.

    Then you are a fool.

very few children die as a result of religious opposition to transfusions, thousands die because of the US army and its recruitment methods!!!!

That's not the point i am making Joe.

People die in wars. It comes with the territory, and its often unavoidable (deaths that is, not the wars themselves). Wether a posh kid or a no hoper is recruited into the Army, bullets will affect them in very much the same way.

Most premeditated deaths are a result of belief, and it is within this statement that we find the hypocrisy.

“If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her” John 8:7.

Western society deemed the war a just war and because of this "belief" thousands of children have died, these children had no choice in whether they lived.

You cannot preach that the Jehovah's way is wrong when we live in a society that engages in the very practise we are criticizing.

You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.

    atheism 100%

    Satanism 79%

    Paganism 63%

    Buddhism 58%

    Islam 25%

    Hinduism 25%

    agnosticism 25%

    Judaism 21%

    Christianity 17%

i've said before i admire anyone who lives a decent life according to a religion or moral code. far more than any of the cliche spouting athiest morons who always harp on about religious hypocrisy, yet are the first to shout about what they think and how they think things shoud be.

most religions have a sound moral code that if lived by the world would be a better place, but the problem is that religions aren't always compatible with each other and people are born rule-breakers.

im sure religion has influenced my morals. i have a few religious friends and family members but im not a religious person myself.

thousands of children could of lived if it werent for western beliefs.

I'm not saying either is right or wrong, it isn't my place to make such grand assumptions.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of a capitalist secular state like the UK.
