Just the stuff that the architect says to neo. The first time I listened to it I was not really taking it in. I think I understand it now but I could be wrong.
Looking forward to seeing it, only watched Reloaded on Sunday night and though I had it grasped (even the architecht bit) till I read this bloody thread Can we post our thoughts up to the end of Reloaded or will it all get a bit messy? :spangled:
Go on what? (If you read it I think it's pretty simple to understand but i'm unsure which parts of it are true). http://gortner.com/mboard/messages/131.htm
Its all about human emotions and human choice the scene between the archetech and neo explains it all but in a way that u have to watch it 12 times to understand it. The reason why they have restarted the matrix 7 times is to see what reaction neo gives in the room IE the televisions behind neo telling the archetecht to fuk off. The machines cant predict human choices when it come to emotional conflict and if they could it would make them better than the humans. Fair enough they destroy zion each time but they still dont feel complete because they cant feel what the humans feel and how they act. Agent smith is just a thing the machines have thrown in to see how it may change the way that neo reacts. Im not saying this is really the explaination but its the impression ive got.
That's sort of what I took from it and why there was great shock at the end when he defeated the machines but went in to the comma. I didn't have a clue about smith etc though.
i think my take on it, is similar to those already posted. going to see revolutions on sunday night with the wifey, she is a total matrix nut so no doubt i will have to listen to all her theories for hours afterwards aswell.
I'm wondering if Zion is in a Matrix itself. Otherwise I don't get how neo could use his 'powers' when they went back into the 'real world'. Anyone else think this?
not really my kind of film though, i can appreciate it for what it is a damn good special effects showpiece but other than that i can take it or leave it. p.s. you have not heard some of my g/f's theories about it, i swear she thinks she is part of the fucking matrix sometimes.
i had thought this also, it was my only logical answer to how that could happen. although i'm sure their will be a twist somewhere.
If I was the machines I would do that. If they realised that the humans will find a way to escape why not just let them think they have escaped. That way the keep the humans under control. I think that there could be several layers of the martix. Just a theory.
Ditto, I watch it for the amazing effects, the story is not the best, it's too easy to pick holes in such as.... Why not just keep all the humans sedated for their whole lives. Further more, why not just kill all the humans and have a whole load of cows or sheep in the farms. It's not like a cow's gonna suddenly learn kungfu and kick agent smith's arse is it. Problem solved.
this is pretty spot on close to the gist of the 2nd, it makes it much clearer, in my opinion, in the 3rd one. it's difficult to say anything without giving it away, so i'm not going to bother. if u get the gist of 1 and 2, 3 will cap it off nicely, answer questions and make it sort of clear in your head. saying that, there's a few bits that make u think "eh? why did that happen?" but i suppose nothings perfect. there's so much symbolism in it. i can't say owt else so i'll shut up.
from the sounds of it 4, 5 and a 6. But i doubt with the same characters. and thats not giving anything away about number 3 b4 anyone says ''ooo u ruined it for me''
