yes. the only bands i like are oasis, pulp and kasabian.

i simply cant stand people who let their musical taste dictate their dress sense.

What a truly fucking narrow minded thing to say.

So what about punks, mods, hippies, goths...

Why should showing your tastes be a bad thing?

its hardly showing taste is it, indie kids/goth kids/whatever kids all dress like their 'icons', while sayin its 'individual' and theyre 'being themselves'

all while standing in a crowd of 30 people all looking the same. what happened to dressing how you want and not following a certain clique.

yeah mebbies they are, but they also must be so massivley lacking in self esteem and social identity that they all have to dress like one person/band/whatever and not venture outside said clique.

people who go on about being individuals and shit while blatantly not being individual in the slightest annoy me thats all.

Well, I guess to them they are being individual, even though they don't look it.

I see your point- was a Klaxons gig in February, never seen so many bright coloured tops, stupid sunglasses and hoodies.

exactly my point, just cos some gash indie band wears em, really doesnt mean it looks good...look at mc hammers baggy pants.

dress how you want, no matter how much some indie band tells you its cool to look like them, its not.

It makes me laugh when people try to define what is 'indie' and what isn't. It just means on an independent record label, regardless of musical style. Kylie was 'indie' for quite a while.

I know you're technically right, but I don't think that's what it means any more really.

    Nah, it doesn't.

Countless so called 'Indie' bands are signed to major labels these days.

The genuine indie labels these days are the likes of Domino and Rough Trade, who have bands like Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes and Arcade Fire signed to them.

Who cares what genre a band supposedly falls into though if you like them.
