I think you were imagining to much if you watched the film you might have realised it wasn't scary, the film wasn't even remotely scary, there was a bit of blood when he was working past the cells in the cellar at the end, but I'd hardly call it gory.

I was really disapointed by this film cause I thought it was gonna be as good as his remake of the Texas chainsaw massacre now thats a gory film, I advise you don't watch this alone if you got scarred by Amityville.
    :D

I love scary films, they are the best kind of films imo. You should watch Texas chainsaw massacre, the new one, its really good. But make sure you not alone cause it's really gory and violent.

If your alone in the dark, thats the best way to watch them.

fairly gorey and violent - and almost as 'creepy' as the original - but the original freaked me out when i first saw it... leatherface was much more convincing as a nut job!

I don't think the originals that creepy the special effects just make it look shit, I can't watch old films they're just to shit.

nar the dirty, sweaty cinematography ( it was made on a shoestring but u know what i mean ) just made it 'freaky'

PLUS when i borrowed it, i was 10 (1985) AND the box said A TRUE STORY and the rumour from your mates was IT WAS REAL - made me cack my pants alright

yeah I not what you mean the japanese are so good at creating that effect in todays films, which is exactly why the original Ring and Grudge films are so much better, than the american remakes.
