you'll be hard when the bouncers takes you round the back and gives you the once over, take that how you want lol
the point behind the ban is to protect workers against the dangers of passive smoking. if the ban was only on pubs serving food, i think that a lot of pubs would probably give up serving meals anyway
I'd love it if there were a full ban, I absolutlely hate it when people smoke in resturants, etc:evil:
It will be policed in pubs clubs via the license. Pubs won't risk loosing it and will have to crackdown.
i could imagine this to be rather hard to keep control of, especially in bars/clubs. Doorstaff looking for smokers and ejecting them! aswell as dealing with underage drinkers, troublemakers, fights etc etc. "reet lads, we've got 3 suspected smokers on the dancefloor, get them out" that every 20/30 mins! when you will most certainly have punters bringing in their own ciggarettes with them or when Doorstaff arent on and you call for police assistance as a few smokers refuse to leave the premisces. seems a waste of police time!
nah the places can get fined 2 and half grand if people are smoking there, it has worked in parts of the US, Scotland and Northern Ireland so there is no reason why it won't work.
i'm suprised/gutted/happy all in one! i love a beer and a tab while i'm out clubbing - but things change.... i can see this being my last full time year of clubbing anyways, so i don't think it'll affect me
i'm gonna report any club to the authorities if anyone smokes near me, a few fines should make them start kicking people out.
