Nah i dont smoke tabs and o dont smoke dpoe, i'v tried both and dont see the fascination (sp)

I smoke about 8 or 9 per day and also smoke weed.
I've only smoked for about 18 months(tabs).
I am addicted.

i smoke socialy when i go out and stuff but not when im on my own have the odd joint now and again though

I dont smoke.. tried it and it tasted crap. J's on the otherhand were nice, but i dont make a point of buying them.. if someone has rolled one, i'll have a couple of draws and nowt more.

But heres the crux of the original arguement.. smoking in public places.
This has bugged the crap out of me for a very long time.. walking down the street in the clean air only for some twat in front of you to spark up and backdraft everyone downwind of them with the vile smelling crap. I'm sick of coming home from a night out smelling like a dirty ashtray and fucking my lungs up because the crowd have been sparking up and polluting the air i've been enjoying myself in...

Personal opinion.. it should be banned in ALL public places, and banned from MOST areas of BARS AND CLUBS.. if they wanna smoke, it shou;d be done in a dedicated room so the rest of us dont have to put up with it.. and we wouldnt come some stinking because of it!!

why should the nhs not pay for lung cancer treatements?

firstly u can get lung cancer off anything not just smoking or passive smoking even if u dont smoke.

secondly smokers pay for a lot of the nhs through tax on tabs!

Fair point.. lung cancer does have numerous causes.. but if it can be proved that it was caused by smoking tabs, why should i pay for damage that has been self-inflicted?

because i imagine that alot of the tax smokers pay goes towards you getting fixed up off the nhs when you need it. or should we only have smokers payin for smokers etc????

if the government cared they would do something about it but unfortunately its an easy way of controlling the population.

Hate to say it but youy have a point.. it'd cost the government more to cure the problem and lose the income.

I still say that public places should have smoking banned, and areas of pubs/clubs as designated smoking areas.. cos nowt bugs me more than heading down the local for a social, and coming away from it smelling that way.. and having breathed in a room full of carcinogenic fumes without my consent.

dont go in the bar.

coz inhaling smoke doesnt sound good. and it doesnt taste or smell nice. if you want to inhale smoke burn something else, its cheaper and it will kill you quicker. smoking will kill you but very slowly, unless you die of sumthin else.

i was waiting for a reponse like that.. so heres my answer.
I choose to go to the bar, and to go to Promise to enjoy meself, but i don't choose to breathe carcinogenic substances in the air left over from people smoking.

Might seem opinionated and self-righteous, but the simple truth is i want a good night out dont want to get lung cancer from passive smoking!

i agree that there should be designated smoking areas and in certain public areas it should be banned. i'm inflicting cancer on myself cause it's my choice - it would be wrong of me to inflict passive smoking on others and feel that i have a right to do so - as some pro-smoking groups do.
