Any dog can snap or attack, i know my staffy would never ever bite anyone unless mentally she became unstable for any reason....but that can happen to any dog.

Just cos some people bring theirs up to be killing machines doesnt mean their babies are going to be vicious, thats just a stupid remark.

They were originally bred to look after kids, hence why 99% will naturally be very good with children, you cant stereotype dogs just like you cant stereotype people.......each have their own personalities which usually mirror the personality of their owner if they have been raised by them. Thats just the way it is. Same with kids they grow up how we tell them too, so if we're aggresive and think it's funny to fight etc then ourt kids will too

People have Lions and Tigers and Bears as pets and they've probably never attacked anyone. But that's not the point!

In that case we should allow anyone to have pumas, lions, tigers, panthers, hyenas..........

you're righ tin saying any dog can attack, but if a chiwawa attacked it's not gonna be as bad as a rottweiler is it.

lulu staffies were original bread to fight lions.... not to protect new borns.

Life isn't like the jungle book, dogs don't raise children...

    Ban staffies.

I have known loads of people with both staffies and rotties too and not 1 of them has been anything but a 100% loving and devoted dog who loves for nothing!

Today is really the wrong day to be saying this cos i have been to claremont road and benton farm kennels and the amount of staffies that are looking for homes is unreal, and every single one of them is beautiful and totally friendly....1 of them actually made me cry, he was called kye and he was just shaking and nervous and just wanted to be loved. I am more confident putting my hands through the bars with any of these dogs than i am with any of the others.

I hate that people can get dogs and not look after them and they end up in a kennel.

Anyone thinking of getting a dog should go to the kennels cos your bound to fall in love with something, all these breeds who are just doing it for a bit of cash to buy this that or the other make me sick!

Read up on them and i think you'll find that back in the black and white days they were bred to look after kids. The fighting actually came after this and was short lived anyway.

People just believe want they want to believe about these dogs and most people just see what is in the press.......do you believe everything you read in the tabloids? It's hardly a fair trial for the dog is it.

Every1 loves my dog, she goes and stays at our friends house who has an 8yr old boy and she's his best friend. You cant stereotype them cos i'm pleased to say that mine has been raised correctly!

Fred's dead and rose is behind bars for killing kids!!!!

I'm not condoning the dogs that do kill, they are correctly put down....but what happens to the owners? Nothing they go out and raise another killing machine cos thats the way he likes them!

But you dont suggest we go out and kill every man and every woman cos they obviously all going to go out and kill their children?

Lulu they were used to fight lions hundreds of years ago and up untill the 19th century they were used to fight dogs, bears and babies.

They were never bred to look after children, youre confusing real life with the Jungle Book :D

why do things always come around in multiples though, this is what i dont understand.

Like there's a spate of dog attacks and then the next thing is like a spate of really young pregnancies, and then the next thing is a spate of people getting raped or murdered....so on and so forth....why do things always happen in large quantities
