I just think it's wrong that the dog gets put down and nothing at all happens to the owner!!! Surely they should be investigated and prosecuted too?

Its totally wrong! A dog should be looked after properly by the person that is responsible for it. If its roaming the streets and is uncontrollable, surely this is down to the owner? Its an animal ffs it hasnt got the intelligence to think like us. Therefore the clown that abandons his responsibility should be fined heavily and forced to pay towards getting the dog corrective training of some sort if its becoming a public nuisance. Killing is a different matter though, once a danger to people it will probably just stay like that.

1825? I wonder if it even happened!? A Lion smashing a human with its paw will knock you unconcious, to a little staffy it would smash its body. It must have been made of steel.

People should be licenced to own dogs and should be vetted before they can own a dog!

    I AGREE TOTALLY !!
paul was a dog handler and he has come up against all kinds.
he has said many a time that it is purely the owner not the dog,if its a police dog,a scrap yard watch dog , a guide dog , or your grans jack russell they can all be as vicious as one another.
films such as snatch and music videos from ppl like snoop and 50 cent are always using pit bulls and rottweilers as images for supposedly beeing hard !!
all these chav shits with staffies or staffy crosses to look hard should be banned from keeping any animal.
after all if u wanted the ultimate hard look go out and by an african pack dog or a hyena.
we had a dogo argentino 10 yrs back and he was the softest dog you ever seen, ppl loved him round my area and he loved to play with all my nieces and nephews etc...but we brought him up to be a familly pet.

by the way !! apparently rhodesian ridgebacks were never used for hunting lions but more for keeping them away from human camps and villages.
hunters took them out with them to feel safe in case there were lions around.as with all big cats they are frightened of any animal that can cause them damage as this will affect there hunting ability ( i.e why a lion or cheetah does a runner from its pray or catch when hyenas or pack dogs arrive ) no dog on its own can cope with a big cat, which is why dogs are in packs !!!!

Owners 90 %. The dog that killed that little girl was 5.5 stone when for its age it should have been 3.5...Give a dog steroids and its going to go nuts
