    They were once bred to kill.

    Most of the dogs we see today have been bred through selective breeding for decades if not centuries to be good at what we want them to do. Whether it be for working or for pets.

    I doubt there has actually been a 'spate' of recent dog attacks. More likely there was that really bad one where the girl died and now every single attack gets reported for the next 2-3 weeks. People get attacked by dogs at the current rate all the time and suffer permanent scarring. It just doesnt get reported.


    The people that own these dogs are so fucking pig-headed and selfish it is untrue.

    Whats wrong with getting a dog that isnt capable of tearing a human to pieces? There are plenty to choose from.

    The country is full of irresponsible people. If people took drugs responsibly, they wouldnt harm anyone. But they dont, so they are banned. Unfortunately people cant be trusted.

    Though having said all that, why not just ban the more dangerous breeds, and avoid people getting mauled in the first place.

    We arent allowed to keep lions, tigers, etc (as far as i know). So why should we be allowed to keep dangerous dogs? They all belong in a zoo.
