One final point...

Since you obviously lack any knowledge on this subject, let me help you. I'm not claiming to be an expert but have you ever met an immigrant, illegal or otherwise? I have met several, the two that spring to mind were africans who got to this country by hiding in huge ships that docked at teeside (many people die by choosing this route). They both came from war torn countries (sierra leone and liberia) that if I am correct were both former british colonies (defo sierra leone neway). These were two extremely genuine people who would have been imprisoned/tortured/killed because they non-violently opposed a regime that oppressed them. The fact they were from former british colonies maybe suggests we owe them at least a home because of the state we left many countries in when our 'great british empire' disintergrated. Not every immigrant is genuine and no one knows the correct figures, and our immigration laws leave a lot to be desired. This is not the point, many immigrants come here and provide valuble services (doctors, engineers etc) as well as increasing ethnic and cultural diversity. We have to accept some responsibility for many of the nations we abused and if that means bringing some genuine people over then so be it. There will always be people who cheat the system but thats almost impossible to combat. My hometown has recently had a lot of immigrants seeking asylum placed in it and some have caused trouble but it would be stupid aswell as fucking racist if I tarred them all with the same brush. So grow up a bit and think what you say in the future... Phew!
