    mine is both electron and debit, it's exactly the same as my mam's - from lloyds tsb, except hers has an extra set of digits on the back which mine hasnt got and u need them if u wanna use it on the net

    most places dont accept visa electrons...there's ya prob.

    if ur mams works - then the places u are trying DO accept em...but u need the 3 digit security code from the back....which yours shud have too...ask for a new card :up:

    All the shops accept it, and it doesnt have a three digit number on the back

    u dont need it for using it in shops...

    and ALL shops dont accept em ;)

    a lot but not all :D

    the 3 digit code is jus extra security when ordering online/over fone...i.e. not in person
