maybe we don't celebrate st georges day because we are confident enough as a nation not to have to. We have 1000 years of history behind us. People who feel they have to have a special day to say 'look at us aren't we great' are a bit lacking in self confidence IMO. we don't need it. More bank hols though...... now thats different

There was a teacher at my sisters school who was suspended a couple of years ago for decorating the classroom in england flags on st georges day.

just been on the phone to my mam(yesterday) and she said it was because the place where they lived had quite a high hindu population.

and the headteacher didnt want to offend any of these so he took what he thought were appropriate measures.

its all the PC cunts who spoil evertything thats at fault.
