    its not illegal.

Some banks have it written in to their T&Cs but some banks dont. At worst a bank can get on breach of terms and conds and make you repy the full amount.

In no way is it illegal.

This is straight from my lass who is a solicitor btw

with the price of student housing these days, cost of food and recent increase in course fees, there is no way some people can survive solely on a part time job whilst studying for a degree.

Those with no support from their parents find it quite hard, im not speaking from experience cos luckely i do get some funding from the rents.

I had to pay my fees, rent, living, bills, existing debts and social life by myself...fucking legend

The only people who cant afford it are the ones who blow their student loan on things like £180 Rollerblades, £105 skateboard, PS1 on the day it was launched, taxis everywhere for 2 weeks, 200 pints, £100 worth of tac and a 300watt stereo

i took a year out and am goin back in 2 weeks. its really hard not too but try not to spunk all of your overdraft straight away. i was stuck at the bottom of a 1500 quid one for nearly 2 years as a student. i still worked part time aswell.

its all gone now thank fuck im gonna reduce it to a couple of hundred quid just to be on the safe side but i feel so much better getting rid of the cunt. Its a hard pit to crawl out of once your stuck at the bottom i tell ya.

You should be charged interest like everyone else once you leave Uni. If students used overdrafts as a temporary means of funds and not living in it permanently then they wouldn't suffer when it isn't interest free anymore.

Most students blow there overdraft and student loan in the first term because they can't be arsed to get a job. Then after xmas they realise they need to get off there arses and seek employment or they'll be going home to work in a factory plucking feathers from dead chickens.

If you really wanted to you could survive without getting into much debt, but what student is gonna not go out drinking all the time?
