What spamming? I've had a look through the first page of threads, and they all seem to have been started by board (reasonably) regulars.

I don't know that there is much we can do about it really. Will ask the others. You could always just not read it.

I take it you know that the last thread was one of yours - just checking to see if I looked?

it's a toss up between not being too cliquey and localisted and letting every man and their spammer telling us about every poxy night/internet radio show in the land.

i have had quiet words with people already that this is a self funding board and if they want to advertise then they should chip in to running costs. However, as we have no fixed rules for this, it's not something we could insist on and there's no real rule of thumb.

if they take the piss it's different.

so to answer my question.... nowhere

competitions should be advertised in the banners ^^^ and someone should spam other sites.

whats the point of all these freebies if no one knows about them?
