how can you say oasis and the stone roses are better than the beatles...wothout the beatles neither of those bands would have came about (well not with that sort of sound anyways)

Start with the stone roses, they were heavily influenced by the beatles you turkey.... they even say so themselves. A very good band but you can hardly hold them in the same light as the beatles.

What seperated the beatles from run of the mill bands is their musical compositions and unless you understand music you don't get this. Their intricate understanding of how melodies and harmonies work seperated them from most bands... with 3 instruments they could produce vast quantities of stupidly catchy and highly respectable tunes. No band has ever been able to replicate such a large quantity of high quality tunes.

This is an argement you can't win bri, you may dislike the music but claiming they're over rated is as ludacris as claiming you didn't have a boner in that photo

just because they could create lots of catchy tunes doesnt make them musical genius's....just popular with the masses....

how do u know they wouldnt have came up with that sound themselves anyway? just cos they were fans of the beatles doesnt mean they could not have came up with the same sound if the beatles werent around in the 1st place.

Just because they were influenced by the beatles does NOT mean they could not have came up with the same sorta sound....we will never know this for sure, so that aint a valid argument
