What I don't understand is why anybody would seek to watch the video?

morbid curiosity...its like roadkill, you know you shouldnt look, but you do anyway...

Sorry like but that video has well stirred me. Imagine the fucking terror that poor bastard was going through as half his head was hacked off and he was still able to scream.

You can vaguely see the blood absolutley pissing all over the floor whilst he still screams from the bottom of his lungs.

he'd of probs been 'alive' (in as much as his brain still functioning) for 5-30sec after his head was cut off too...

altho i think the stress of the situation would've made him pass out/lose consciousness long before that

what they've done is very devious.. i would wager every teenager with an internet connection in the states has seen this clip, and that will affect their psyche.. where as if it was just on al-jazeera or something it wouldnt have had the same affect or become as widespread so quickly.

and i cant believe you've all watched it.. i thought about watching it, but whats the point??

normally, when its a long thread that seems to be an argument between joe and the board, i just read joes posts, because in his quotes he kinda picks out the bits i need to be paying attention to. i have chosen not to even attempt to watch this video as recently the site of a frozen chicken makes me faint and throw up, god only knows what seeing a beheading would do.

to be honest i think anyone who has watched this on purpose, buy actually clicking on the link or whatever is sick. but thats my opinion.

sorry, im totally hippyfied about the entire war thing which does no1 any good but i dont like war. i hate it. make love, not war. thats what we should do but it will never happen.

As for the video - I too am not prepared to watch it. both on prinicpal; they murdered this man for the reaction they are getting and it wouldn't sicken me to my stomach.

This beheading video COULD be a fake being used to stir up more 'reasons' to stay in Iraq. Before anyone goes ballistic and jumps down my throat think about this:

Propaganda like this can easily sway public opinion. I'm not a special effects expert but it can't be too hard to make a realistic fake & by the time it's a webvideo you might not be able to tell.

What if....?

The USA aren't above bombing thousands of innocent people, so leading folks up the garden path with a fake video isn't outside the bounds of probability.
