Some clearly are (all of Clegg's, 118's etc), some clearly aren't.

That's why you need someone experienced to tell the difference for ones that lie in the middle

some of that craic makes the board a more interesting place....means we keep up to date with any scandel without having to rely on promise toilet banter to find out (since we can't any more anyways)

So at what point would you have deleted it? Why should you (for example) be given that right/power when there were more than a handful of people actively posting in the thread and keeping it at the top of the board for days? Just cos you didn't like it and don't think it was constructive?

If you want a new mod who will delete/move threads you deem not worthy then the board will die on its arse, becasue at the moment the only people keeping it going are the ones you think only post shit. Banning/deleting/moving is counter-productive, if people (the more intelligent ones, as you choose to lable them) think the board is full of shit, then the sensible thing to do is to start more threads that you deem worthy to balance things out.

It was harmless fun back then, people excited about the coming friday.. now its just crude..

I also don't rememeber the place being full of racist pricks pre 2004/5.. harper was a true sui generis back then, now he's just one of the crowd..

I couldn't agree more. However, although I don't want it to seem like I'm in any way defending them, you do go looking for it, and deliberately try to expose them. You might have good intentions, but at the end of the day all it does is fill up threads with abhorrent comments about immigrants and jews.

I'm so used to reading Jimi/Harper/etc's racist bile that I just kinda skim over it, it doesn't shock or offend the way it should/used to, and that's a terrible state of affairs in my opinion. Your aim might be honourable, but because nothing is done to remove/curtail the racism it just gets accepted.
