The events forum has turned into an absolute dump?

HELLO

well it's a start, but not splitting the forum because it's 'silly' is a bit of a crap reason, particularly when you replace it with 'priority given to local / north east event threads' - priority given how? stickies for all NE events, just some of them, NE events allowed to bump as much as they like? very ambiguous rule, and ambiguous rules are a bad idea IMO coz they open the mods up to accusations of favouritism / bias etc.

Splitting it into 2 so the national promotions that to most people are spam, but some people may be interested in, have their own forum and stop bumping local nights off the front page strikes me as a pretty sensible solution. there's already 13 forums, so upping that to 14 forums and having 2 forums out of 14 dedicated to clubs/events on a mainly clubbing based website doesn't strike me as being excessive.

Anyway, it's upto those with the power, but I don't see what harm there'd be in trying it.

With THE BANTER being dry, maybe it is time TV & News came back into the fold.-

There far too sections on this forum, whats the point of having seperate sport, news, tv, links, photos etc forums when noone ever posts in them

seriously though, it was mentioned a while back by tom i think, instead of having a couple of active forums we've got loads of quiet ones.

the 'priority' was more about giving local nights more leaniency. i.e. james wilson bumping his night - if immediately was banned for doing it - would be a bit pointless and NOT helping him, the night or the events section

splitting the forum would just dilute it - it's not exactly the busiest forum, some night sometimes have 4 threads in there all at once but not often and now with the updated rules - it probably won't happen - i'm sure not so long as there was a freaky cosmic/ freaky uni / freaky underworld after party gaggle of threads.

plus, it was a join desicion made by the mods in our secret staff room forum. oooOOOooo

THE BEST WAY IS TO HAVE 1 MESSAGE BOARD. NOT SEPERATE PARTS.

THEN EVERYONE GETS THE CHANCE TO SEE EVERYTHING

i also once swapped around some of the forums how there displayed on the main page.

TRUST MR KUHNT. HE IS IN THE KNOW AND KNOWS THAT HAVING ONE FORUM FOR EVERYTHING WORKS. GET RID OF THE EVENTS, GET RID OF ALL THE OTHER SUB FORUMS THAT NO ONE GOES IN ANYWAYS. KEEP IT ALL IN THE ONE PAGE AND THEN EVERYONE SEE'S EVERYTHING RATHER THEN PEOPLE GOING:

"oh, i wonder whats in the events forum today"
