Got to disagree there like, saw Kanzyani at Global Gathering 2003 and he was shite and he had a peak time set playing to a packed arena, whereas Beyer was playing to an emptying tent at 4am after Coxy, and didn't drop a single beat for two hours solid, on three decks - that's who it's about!! Ben Sims is the boy like, always will be one of the best. Bailey went a bit stale for a while production wise, he's back up to scratch now like but I wouldn't put him or kanzyani in the same class as Sims like, or Beyer, there just isn't a comparison in my opinion.
both the tunes on the vinyl are class to be fair i would say all the names metioned are the boyos. I like Adam Beyer stuff alot. Some Marco Bailey stuff just sounds all samey to me, Ben sims is class tho. His mix of Birmingham is amazing
Definatley agree about marco bailey, his recent stuff is a bit more diverse though. Everybody seems top have forgotten about hertz - quality, To be honest, for me, you'll never beat swedish techno, it's the best!!! Proper elctronic techno - the way it should be.
Forgot about Hertz sure they bring a new tune out every week which is always to a high standard to I got your voicemail mate i deleted the email with that lsit of tunes on it. So i dunno if i am short of a tune or not
aye but we were talkin bout production son not djing take bailey fro example, awesome producer but cant mix for shit sims can do both, extrenmely well! hertz is the daddy of dark shid tho! julia is one of my favourites!
Didn't realise me dad was posting on this board too Wouldn't put his productions up there with sims or beyer either though...... A lot of his techno is very formulaic, mainstream techno, good, but very easy to predict the direction it's going in. Don't get me wrong he's a great producer, but I wouldn't put him even in me top 10 producers there are just many more quality, exciting and innovative producers producing great stuff at the moment in my opinion. Like I say, it's just a differnet opinion, no-ones right - Except me
aye smiler is a wiced dj and producer but my opinion is that bailey sims and val! hertz a very close fourth like only a split second behind then after him probs glen wilson and lars klein and liebing, i like mark williams stuff too, sneo turns out the odd belter apart from his remix of new time new place fuckin awful tune lol
I reckon Beyer has done some class tunes to be fair. Heartbreaker most of the Adam beyer and Henrik B tunes are class
and then there is beltram as well, fuckin top draw, and you cant really rule our stanny frannsen too i mean there is shit loads of awesome techno producers
Aye,Joey is mint, luke slaters mix of forklift is one of my favourite tunes of all time. Nobody like Jeff Mills??? the bells
Aye. Dave Clarke is abit of a legend like. Does a canny electro set too i think. He played Disco Noir just before mills did? I missed it.Gutted when i found out. Maybe if Disco Noir(or something techno) returns to Foundation in the NY i might have another chance to see him.
