WHQ is starting to utilise both floors more so youll have Tommy playing his mixed bag on one floor and then maybe house/techno/dubstep/electro etc etc on the other floor

in the latter days there was an influx of meatheads, but it was never over run by them, they were always far too busy looking good in front of their sunbedded to death stick thin barbie like mothers. I loved the place.

because you sound like your pushing 30, youre probably feeling a bit shunned by this new fangled 'cdj' and 'minimal' craze, and are probably trying to get your head around 'jagerbombs'.

my advise is to go to kissdafunk at digital then go suck on some horlicks for the rest of the month.

i realise theres other ppl pushing 30, but they arent going on like this bint

what i want is to go to big clubs, i've never been the kind of person to go to big clubs week in week out, i get bored too easily. i do still like small clubs/pubs...but i want to go to a big club for a big night which is the purpose of this conversation.
Just because i have expressed a desire to go to something doesnt mean i'll exclude the rest, i'm open minded i'm just struggling to find this one little thing that i crave at the moment...I go to stout fiddler (kings whatever it is), cooperage, Digital etc etc...these i already know about, i want something else.

I feel like i'm trying to convince myself but i hope you kinda get the picture and i havent just wasted some of my dinner writing all that drivvel

so what if i was raving when you were shitting yellow, your arguement is pointless...if i dont like something i dont like it, nothing to do with age. I dont like Minimal, i dont like Ket, i dont like alcohol (jagerbombs reference)....why should this bother you that i dont like certain things? I dont understand why i cant have an opinion or different tastes to you.

I suggest you try and rub someone else up the wrong way cos your efforts have been wasted and your arguement is shit.

Minimal is just another phase that dance is going through, like electro and "funky" (hnnnngh) before it. If you like it, great. If you don't, I wouldn't get too bothered about it.

Regardless of your musical tastes, there is shitloads of nights out there that cater to all ages and tastes. Don't like the nights you see? Look around, there's probably one that is more your bag.

To write off the entire scene because of a few minimal nights and a few poor venues is a tad harsh and a bit short-sighted :)

If you want to experience music that aint a 10 minute taxi ride from your front door .... Then maybe its time to get up and make some effort.

I have to regularly travel hundreds of miles to experience the kind of clubbing i want to, with the people i want to do it with. Funnily enough i have probably the greatest variety of club nights kind of on my doorstep (well, an hours train ride away), but i find myself getting on trains or making 10 hour round trip drives to do.

Be thankful theres such a huge variety up in the toon. Imagine if you were living in some tiny village in the lake district and the best hope you had of listening to some beats was hanging around the empty town center with a can of cider and someones mobile phone playing Kaskade out of the speakers on it.

    Pushing on 30,

    Brid

    ... Digital Society :)

I love clubbing in London, but i love doing it up north better.

Joris Voorn is on at Fabric tomorrow, but i'd much rather see him up at Habit tonight for instance.
