    Oooo - let's see....

I got a denon 2500F CD player... Two technics 1210's fitted with Ortofon DJ Carts, 8 channel mixer with BIG 100mm long faders (!!) - going into an Alesis 3630 compressor limiter, which feeds my Sony minidisc recorder which is then linked by digital coax to my SBlive soundcard. I get 20Hz to 20Khz no problem - sounds wickid!

Plugged into the analog Aux out of the soundcard is my Ariston amp, going into some wall mounted spendor monitor speakers (the same they used to use in Radio 1 studios). BLING BLING!

If I was to buy decks again I'd get Vestax PDX2000s coz they don't feed back like Technics TTs - you have to go to STOOOPID lengths to stop Technics going "wuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh" in the bass area ;-)

    P.

BTW this is just a hobby????!?!?! Sum-ting is wery wery wong.

<Has Burnsy won the DJ comp yet? He will!!! Stop arguing already>
    /<I'm not saying that it's a fix or owt....HONEST>/.

AND YES I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND. WELL FIANCEE ACTUALLY!!!!!!!!!!

I know why the fuk does it have to cost so much to build up a decent record collection!!!

Think I might invest in a Final Scratch instead heard a lot of good things about them!!!

The sound of limitless record collection with new tunes for free ever after from the net sounds good to me!!!

My question is to anyone that has used it b4 how does it compare???

The only thing I can think of is reading the viny!!!

I had a demo of a Final Scratch in Global Dj centre the other Dj. I was very impressed. The tune takes a few seconds to convert to the vinyl and the sound quality is spot on!!!!!

    Bit pricey though:evil:

Final scratch is okay - as good as using TTs but....

So you wanna rely on using downloaded MP3s eh? Excellent idea m8e - but for one snag. A lot of people can't record, encode or rip an MP3 properly to save their lives. I've lost count of all the files I've downloaded that had errors in them - jumped, sounded shit... contained other songs.... were copied off cassette...

You name it - they mess it up.

I wonder how long it would take HMV to cotton on to a lad buying tunes, taking em home to record them to CD, then taking them back to be exchanged.... ;-) They don't say they have a limit on the policy, so who's up for giving it a go?

so once u have lined it up with the vinyl there is no delay then as in u could scratch and it would move accurately in time???

Think u would have to listen to ur mp3 properly mate b4 u started to mix with it coz u would have to know the tune like the back of ur hand to make a good mix with it anyway!!!
