Being the youngest of quite a big family I got brought up on them by my older brother and sisters, Blood Sex is genius, but Californication was the beginning of the end for me, I liked By the Way for a while, but they seem to have descended in this schmultzy self-generic whiney style now..

Well and truly past their sell by date, the only appeal I can see is for people who are either new to them or people who are critically inept and quite happy to lap up their droll offerings..

Frusciante's solo albums were pretty poor too, with the exception of a few tracks..

    touche..

I only just read that, I have no hatred, they're just a bit lame and seem to be making music for the sake of music, which is a shame..

Most of the bands Paul talks about are plastered all over the NME and Q week in week out.. I remember getting slated for being pretentious for liking an obscure band a while back..

Think they were called The Killers or Arcade Fire or something..

I know, apparently no one has heard of Jamie T, Bloc Party, Maximo Park, CSS, Klaxons, The Rakes, LCD Soundsystem etc...

was rather humorous that jamie theakston had to tell them what under the bridge was all about as they accepted an award for the cover.

i haven't really been on for a while an don't really pay the most attention when i do come on here... i just remember someone kicking off with you about only liking the obscure bands an then dropping them when they got popular... or something?

most of the bands i like would probs be classed as obscure on here - but its not my fault that none of you have got any taste lol :p

scruf i know you really go searching myspace for bands an then drop them when they become popular... ;)
