    yeah thats exactly my point. why are you dissing this board when it provides free promotion.

    If i was a promotor i would try and support the board whenever possible, rather than bang on about the old days and how they were so much better. because frankly - i wasnt there and it's now 2008.

    and you make yourself out to be pessimistic and negative, which IMO isnt what clubbing is all about. i dont think that going clubbing every week is a mandatory factor for 'good crack' either, otherwise we'd be living in a more boring society than we already do.

    I HAVE BEEN INTO DANCE MUSIC FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND WAS THERE AT THE LAUNCH NIGHT OF PROMISE AT FOUNDATION AND EVERY PROMISE THAT FOLLOWED IT. I'VE BEEN TO EVERY GODS KITCHEN AT THE ARENA ASWELL AS THE EVENTS ON THE BOAT PUT ON BY GOODGREEF THAT USED TO BE ON NEW YEARS DAY.

    AND TO THIS DAY I GO CLUBBING AS OFTEN AS I CAN.

    THE REASON I SIGNED UP TO THIS FORUM WAS TO KEEP UPTO DATE WITH CURRENT EVENTS AND TO MAKE SURE THAT I GOT TO SEE WHAT EVENTS WHERE HAPPENING IN THE DANCE WORLD.

    I JOINED THIS FORUM BEFORE FACEBOOK TOOK OFF AND ALSO WHILST MYSPACE WAS IN ITS INFANCY. A TIME WHEN NEITHER WAS RECOGNISED AS A VALID SOURCE OF PROMOTION.

    SO ITS CLEAR AS DAY MR TOOL...YOU DONT KNOW ME.

    haha, fair comment squire - however i would source the real 'free' promotion down to your tantrum's on here :lol:

    i just think alot of the local nights should support this board and advertise it a bit - sticking the address on flyers etc in the hope that fresh blood and indeed in your eyes (and others) 'new punters', in the same way NCL beats whore's its name about on it's scene. it makes complete advertising sense, and it's shocking (may be too harsh of word) that it hasnt been done already.

    newer people normally join through word of mouth or through friends - then getting totally scared off by the fact that they'll introduce themselves with a "hello" thread and end up getting totally demoralised by people they dont even know. or even have a clue what they are all going on about.

    it's like going to a rough local pub when your from outside the area - to the locals its ok, but if your an outsider you'll be kicked out immediately for talking out of place/looking funny/trying to play on the pool table (when everyone knows that it's been broke for months. Obviously.) a situation that no-one wants to be in.

    thats quite a strange parralell i know, but that sort of happend to me tonight, and thought it was rather relevant.

    - something i have learned this evening: Dont decided to just 'pop in for a pint' in hebburn. at all costs.
