They are talking bollocks.... its a porsche and they go for 13 grand... howay thats stunning for the money, and its the same interior as a 911!

The cayman (hard top boxster) is so good, they actually had to purposely take out bits to stop it being better than their 911's ..... go figure eh!

Boxster is an amazing car as is the Elise.

Out of the two I'd go for the former because I think driving a stripped out racing car (Elise) to work each day would get annoying.

None of these valid points change the fact that its a girls car.

You want a drivers car?? Go buy an Evo 6 or an Impreza P1!

All the way through this thread I was think - you gotta get an S2000.

I saw a 99 reg one not long ago for £9,500 but I couldn't get insured on it :(

I've seen nobles for 35 - 40k.. which baring in mind the kind of performance it offers ain't really a bad price.

    Hows about a TVR Tuscan??
They're lush and go for about 19 - 22k second hand.
    Hard on the petrol though.

My mate just swapped his 2L Civic R type (Which he had tweaked and tuned to 250+ Brake) for a 96 Toyota Supra 3L Twin Turbo Aero.. and he got a couple of k too..
Its fuckin awesome.. the noise it makes is nipple hardening!
Plus hes got it tuned to 500 odd bhp.. which iirc is around the territory of a GT2/3.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. which I probably am..

    Imported STI's are lush like..
Would love one.. but I simply can't tackle the amount of fuel I would use if I had one..

how did he tune a CTR to 250bhp?

i know a bloke with a approx 600 bhp jobbie as his company demo, but they had to go as far as having a new bottom end made up to handle it

and it has just blown up as he put the wrong oil in it

Think my next car will be a 106 GTI.. nice step up to get me ready for a 2L or 2.5L engine :)

    was "fun" mind

you can get them up to about 25ish MPG if you take it easy and have a working lambda sensor

get one while you can IMO
it wont be long before we are all stuck in tin boxes and forced to sit there while the goverment tells where we can go and at what speed :(

    Re: Re: Which car?

Not really. There may only be one parking space left and if you get there first, you get the space! Worth the 15-20k I reckon!
