Which club should host Shindig, Turbo, Stone Love, Waxon etc

    The only way to absolutely secure a future is to buy a venue. I remember several years ago Nice were trying to buy the area next to Tokyo, in the arches. Not sure why it all fell through, but the space is still empty.

    I think it was more to do with objections being raised by other venues not wanting the competition. I could be wrong though.

    I agree, Legends could be a great venue, if it was done out well.

    there's council planning posters up there now, apparently someone has applied for planning permission to turn it into a hotel and "leisure" space?

    should turn the old tyne tees studios on city road into a club.be ideal for the likes of shindig.decent size and good location just round the corner from its spiritul home of the riverside/foundation.:)
    then stereo would be ideal for the warm up!

    i'm sure it was also to do with the residents across the road rejecting any application on the grounds of noise.

    There must be so many places in Newcastle where you could build a decent venue. It would be a huge investment though, if you were to build from scratch.
