Dunno if this thread is supposed to mean people you hadnt seen before, but . . .

Pappa, Seaman, Timo, Corvin, John 00, and Hardwick have all impressed me this year. But then they inevitably always do.

Ones who i hadnt seen before, but who really stood out were The Thrilleekers (Promise in April), James Holden (Ahead in May), Mylo and Jaques lu Cont (Wax On in November).

Ferry Corsten - His 3hr set at Promise impressed me! i didnt quite kno what to expect from him as ive heard alot of mixed comments! but he was awesome!

Ben Lost - At Vuzz last month! first time ive seen him DJ and he was immense, his mixing was spot on, and had everyone on the dancefloor! played his full set off CD like but most DJs are going that way anyways! Spot on!

Theres no-one really out there who is different from anyone else really IMO! Most trance DJs play the same stuff!

Armin van Buuren - Went off hi slightly last year but loving him now more than ever!

Markus Schulz - Loving his productions as much as his sets! Proggy-techy-trance! :p Amazing bass lines and he plays Santiago Nino tunes! :king: Immense!

Tiesto - Worlds #1. Loving his productions and his DJ sound at the minute! Loving the tech trance! Also like the producers he's pushing Mike Mark Norman etc. :D

Luke Terry - Again, love his productions and love his DJ sets. Trance all the way... With a good driving beat! Trance with balls! Loving it mate. Well done, keep it up!

Disko Bitch - Dirty... And its good! Liking your Electro, alot! ;) Defo on the ball at the moment lads! Top stuff! Beats Jambons Rick Astley!

one man stands out for me this year and thats Ben Lost. his djing has been outstanding this year. always an interesting track selection and hes technically very good too.

and chris is right about every1 sounding the same atm. mainly the fault of ASOT and GDJB but djs out there need to get off their arse and find some interesting tracks that others dont play cuz theres plenty of them out there waiting to be played

Good call on Sagar Si mate.

There's a lot of local DJs about that have impressed me this year. Stu, the Ward 10 lot, People Get Real, etc.

Justin Long has impressed me most this year though, he's fucking unbelieveable.

Tom Middleton really susprised me at Circus earlier this year too, very very good DJ.

Thanks for the kind words much appreciated!

Probably the best dj/set ive heard this year has to go to Miss Kitten! Went up to Edinburgh to see her for the first time a couple of months ago. Totally mixed things up with electro, breaks and some banging techno, worked really well!

    Other dj's
    Gayle San @ Teqnology, Amsterdam.
Kiki and Silversurfer @ Stern Radio, Berlin.
    The Hacker @ Watergate, Berlin
Adam x and Terence Fixmer @ Dogma, Edinburgh (Live)
    Hawtin & Villalobos @ Arches
Alex Bowen (Superconductor, Leeds) @ Almouth beach rave!!

    Local Dj's
Chris Littlewood's Live sets at the Green festival and Freaky Dancing.

Dj Smurf @ Detox boat party.

Havent seen half the dj's I would have liked to see this year either because they've never been in the country or just not being able to afford to travel all the time.:(

Was a bit disappointed by this- Have seen hawtin before and he's been awesome but towards the end of their second set, the music seemed to break down after every track and the breakdowns were as long as most of the tunes themselves.
The tunes were good but just hard to get into in the last hour
