you pay a 2.5% cash withdrawal fee & generally the interest is banged on straight away

I don't ever pay by cash anymore, first because everywhere down here accepts cards no matter what the price of the goods, and secondly because I fear that adrenaline inducing message that flashes up on the cash machine when it's all dry.. at least Switch lets you keep going and going over your limit till you really start taking the piss..

I haven't seen my balance in about 2 years.. just got a stack of unopened statements as high as the Eiffel Tower in my room..

Same here, I wish they wouldnt send them & just ploughed the saved cash into my account. It would also help the banks carbon footprint:sleep:

if you are with lloyds and have internet banking, you can choose not to have paper statements sent.

Im quite sad and file them away every month in "finances" section, I have done since I was little, I have statements from the same bank account from 1993.

Not that it helps AT ALL, just makes me sad to see when I was in credit years ago.

i'd far rather not have paper statements like, i see it as a security risk...I ain't just gonna chuck them in the bin!

oof and I thought times were hard for me

I live at home but I pay my mam, buy alot of my own food etc, pay all bills myself. Very little in terms of buying luxuries anymore (although did in first year!)

running car, mobile phone, sky and gym...plus nights out, travel etc....certainly adds up fast like!

My loan installment will be around £1600 :D

It's still a fair way off like, i need it NOW!

My bank (first direct) sends me a text message every morning to detailing any transactions that have occured on my account

good in a way but the worst way to start a hangover
